CHANTILLY (May 26, 2011) – Medicomp Systems announces the release of Quippe, its latest innovation to support usability of clinical systems at the point of care. It is a browser-based clinical documentation software development kit (SDK) available for licensing by electronic medical record (EMR) system developers.
Quippe is highly customizable, optimized for use on the Apple iPadTM and other mobile devices, and conforms to the way doctors think. It utilizes Medicomp’s patented Intelligent Prompting® technology to provide instant access to clinical information relevant to a patient’s conditions and history, automatically.
Doctors were given hands-on use when Quippe was unveiled at the HIMSS convention in February. Response was overwhelmingly positive.
“I’ll borrow from what I heard another doctor say, this technology is a real ‘game-changer’ in the world of healthcare IT,” said Dr. Gregg Alexander, Madison Pediatrics and director of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ “Pediatric Office of the Future.”
“Every single provider I spoke to asked the same two questions, 1) how soon can I get it?, and 2) is it really as easy as it looks here?,” said Dr. Jay Anders, MED3000.
Like all Medicomp products, Quippe is powered by the MEDCIN Engine, a proven knowledge engine that adapts to the unique clinical presentation of each patient and provides enterprises with codes needed for Meaningful Use compliance and reimbursement.
“Quippe represents the largest redesign of our tools in the past 10 years. This invention utilizes cutting edge browser technology to enable a level of usability that was previously thought impossible,” said Peter Goltra of Medicomp Systems.
